Buying Cato in the fall of 2022 is absolutely a dream come true. We have been fortunate to purchase does bred to Cato and have several Cato daughters freshening in our herd this spring. Cato is an AI son of the very well known ++*B SG Roeburn’s Gatwick Brutus and is out of GCH Roeburn’s KVLS Mila. He is a striking combination of some of my favorite animals in the Roeburn program and he does not disappoint. Our Cato daughters all have beautiful long, wide rumps so we are particularly excited to see them fresh in the spring of 2023

*B Addi-Hill Lincoln Steig

With so many Mila related offspring in our herd, we wanted to make sure to have another option for a buck that was a bit farther of an outcross. I have always admired the power and lovely mammary systems on the does in the Addi Hill herd. Steig’s dam GCH Addi-Hill Silas Sydnee appraised 91 EEEE. Steig himself has tremendous substance of bone and beautiful rear leg angulation. We are excited to see some Steig kids hit the ground in late March.

Valentino is our retained junior herd sire and the first that we have retained and used so heavily. Quinn is one of my all time favorite does and sired by Soren she brings the general appearance, strength, power and mammary attachment I love about Sari (Soren’s full sister). Andreas has thrown long, upstanding daughters with beautiful dairy strength. We are hopeful that Andreas brings some of the impressive milk production from the Kara-Kahl herd.

Acclaim is an excited co-owned addition with Michelle at 9Patch Alpines. We were particularly impressed with Acclaim’s dam Amatrix and her dimensional, productive mammary system. We are hoping that Acclaim will bring both the productivity and lovely dairy strength we see in his dam, we are very pleased with his very positive ETA’s. So far Acclaims daughters are very long necked, sharp and angular throughout like we had hoped and we look forward to seeing them fresh.

Tempo Aquila Free Trip

Trip is the son of the 2019 National Junior Champion Alpine GCH Tempo Aquila Trippin’ Free. We are excited to co-own trip with Michelle at 9Patch Alpines. We did not get many daughters in 2021 but the few we got did not disappoint. His daughter 9Patch Miracle Margo (bred and owned by 9Patch alpines was junior champion in large competitive shows at the NYS Fair and the Erie County Fair. His 2022 daughter in our herd placed 3rd senior kid at the aDGA national show! He also has several sons working as promising junior herd sires including a son at a commercial dairy.

Trip earned a reserve champion win as a kid in n a competitive show beating out SR bucks as a kid! We love Trip’s power and depth of body. His kids appear to have improved width and strength over their dams and we cannot wait to see mammary systems. We particularly love the Trip kids out of dams sired by *B CH Redwood Hills Chimay Riptide.
